Chené Botanicals is a woman-owned business that I started in 2005 more out of necessity than actually having an intention to be a business owner. While my grandmother was a huge proponent of literally going “out into the forest” here in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to gather plants and herbs for treating various ailments, it wasn’t until one of my kids developed eczema that I became passionate about the best natural remedies to treat it. After the pediatrician recommended that the best treatment would be to use a steroid-based cream filled with unfriendly preservatives, petroleum-based products and too many hard-to-pronounce chemicals, I decided instead to follow my Grandma’s passion of “natural”. This, I decided, was a drastically better option….
